The teaching of languages
has undergone a series of changes caused by the growing demands of today´s
knowledge-based society and has also placed more emphasis on the challenging
process of becoming reflective and innovate teachers in the FLC. Nowadays,
teachers are not only more concerned with their students’ learning needs, but
also with their own responsibility in terms of deciding the learning teaching
experiences that could help both, students become self-regulate learners and
teachers improve their professional development. Therefore, teachers ought to
sharpen their awareness on essential theoretical and practical aspects related
to learning-teaching basic English aspects.
